Motorized FlexShade AC

Motorized FlexShade AC provides a 4-wire motor with push-button limits and IntelliFlex I/O compatibility for scalable automation in commercial spaces.

The Motorized FlexShade AC delivers affordable, line voltage automation with a 4 wire motor, push button limit settings, and IntelliFlex I/O compatibility for scalable control. Its modular architecture supports simple local switching, low voltage smart controls, or deeper integration with third party building systems. Suitable for projects of any size, the system enables synchronized control of individual shades or grouped zones across commercial, healthcare, church, and government facilities while maintaining reliable performance and straightforward installation.
 

Product Specs

  • CHILD SAFETY NOTICE: This product complies with ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022-Child Safety Standard and has been Certified Best for Kids™ by the Window Covering Safety Council.
  • Available in sizes from 27-1/2" to 168" (70 cm to 427 cm) wide, depending on fabric selection. Larger sizes are available with FlexShade 2 or Colossal FlexShade.
  • AC motors use line voltage, and shades can be coupled together to minimize the number of motors required.
  • Secure moisture-resistant connection to line voltage with the M12 Connector.
  • Control options include ISO relay group control for up to 10 motors, low-voltage group and individual controls, and third-party system integration.
  • Surface-mount options include brackets (standard), fascia with endcaps, or headbox with closure. Recess-mount options include pocket headboxes, Pocket D headboxes, and wall clip solutions for existing pockets.
  • Optional dual rollers available. See technical documents for details.
  • Compatible with "U", "H", and "L" channels for light-gap reduction.
  • Hardware textured powder coat finishes: black (RAL 9005), ivory (RAL 1013), bronze (RAL 7022), and white (RAL 9003). Custom colors, where specified, can be matched using RAL numbers.
  • Textured powder coat finish meets AAMA 2604 for enhanced durability, fade resistance, and color retention.
  • Clear anodized finish available; not a textured finish.
  • Choose from fabric colors, textures, and opacities, or customize with graphics, patterns, or color matching.
  • UL Listed.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 Child Safety Standard

Effective June 1, 2024, in compliance with the updated ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 child safety standard, all Draper window shades operated by a bead chain will be furnished with a tensioned hold-down device that is permanently attached and partially disables the product if not installed correctly. This hold-down should be installed with tension on the chain.

All bead chain operated window shades will include:

  • Permanently installed spring-loaded tensioned hold-down device
  • Approved permanent warning label attached
  • Approved mechanical fasteners for the tension device included. Screws provided are not suitable for all mounting surfaces. The installer is responsible for secure mounting using appropriate hardware for the site conditions. Consult with contractors and builders as needed.

If the tension device is not installed with appropriate tension on the bead chain, the shade will be rendered partially inoperable. If installed properly, the tension device will prevent the creation of a hazardous loop and will maintain tension on the bead chain.
