SDN RS485 6 or 8 Button Wall Switch

SDN RS485 6 or 8 Button Wall Switch provides hard-wired shade control — supports dry contact inputs, priority logic, and custom engraving.

The SDN RS485 6 or 8 Button Wall Switch is a hard-wired keypad for stand-alone SDN shading systems. It communicates directly with intelligent motors, eliminating the need for a central controller. Each keypad supports priority-based commands, custom engraving, and includes 8 dry contact inputs for motor control.
 

Product Specs

  • Dimensions: 1-7/16” x 1-1/2” x 4-1/16” (37 mm x 38 mm x 103 mm) (without wall plate).
  • Face plate dimensions: Standard Decora.
  • Mounting: Single gang.
  • LED indicators: Rear (red, flashes when powered); Front (status, flashes when transmitting).
  • Directly control intelligent motors individually, by group, façade or an entire building.
  • SDN is scalable, and suitable for both small and large projects.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 Child Safety Standard

Effective June 1, 2024, in compliance with the updated ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 child safety standard, all Draper window shades operated by a bead chain will be furnished with a tensioned hold-down device that is permanently attached and partially disables the product if not installed correctly. This hold-down should be installed with tension on the chain.

All bead chain operated window shades will include:

  • Permanently installed spring-loaded tensioned hold-down device
  • Approved permanent warning label attached
  • Approved mechanical fasteners for the tension device included. Screws provided are not suitable for all mounting surfaces. The installer is responsible for secure mounting using appropriate hardware for the site conditions. Consult with contractors and builders as needed.

If the tension device is not installed with appropriate tension on the bead chain, the shade will be rendered partially inoperable. If installed properly, the tension device will prevent the creation of a hazardous loop and will maintain tension on the bead chain.
