Gabled Bottom-Up FlexShade

Motorized Shade for Architectural Angle-Topped Windows

Designed to fit architectural angle-topped windows, the Gabled Bottom-Up FlexShade provides a motorized roller shade for glare control, UV protection, and privacy. The shade maintains visibility while managing indoor solar control and sunlight that enters through unprotected angle-topped windows. It retracts from the top down and has tensioning spring boxes as well as a flexible hem bar. The tension on the shade panel is maintained by thin cables connected to the flexible hem bar. It can be sill-mounted and accommodates angles up to 45 degrees in either direction.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 Child Safety Standard

Effective June 1, 2024, in compliance with the updated ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 child safety standard, all Draper window shades operated by a bead chain will be furnished with a tensioned hold-down device that is permanently attached and partially disables the product if not installed correctly. This hold-down should be installed with tension on the chain.

All bead chain operated window shades will include:

  • Permanently installed spring-loaded tensioned hold-down device
  • Approved permanent warning label attached
  • Approved mechanical fasteners for the tension device included. Screws provided are not suitable for all mounting surfaces. The installer is responsible for secure mounting using appropriate hardware for the site conditions. Consult with contractors and builders as needed.

If the tension device is not installed with appropriate tension on the bead chain, the shade will be rendered partially inoperable. If installed properly, the tension device will prevent the creation of a hazardous loop and will maintain tension on the bead chain.

Approved permanent warning label
