Designer Hardware Finishes on a Cordless Operated Open Roll Shade

FlexStyle Ascend combines an attractive self-retracting, cordless operated shade and designer hardware finishes that bring elegance to any room décor. This easy to install shade features no hanging cords or bead chains, ensuring child safety and enhanced aesthetics. To raise the shade, lightly touch the bottom of the hem bar, and to lower it, give a gentle tug. Adjust the spring tension easily without the need to take down the shade from the window. An optional Pull-Down Wand is available to assist in raising and lowering shades.
 

Product Specs

  • CHILD SAFETY NOTICE: This product complies with ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022-Child Safety Standard and has been Certified Best for Kids™ by the Window Covering Safety Council.
  • Ascend operator should not be used with products or pockets having a bottom closure without written permission from Draper.
  • Roller dimension” 1-1/2” (38mm) OD.
  • Minimum shade width: 12-1/8” (308 mm).
  • Maximum shade width: 8’ (244 cm), depending on fabric weight.
  • Product available with reverse roll.
  • Optional, white Pull-Down Wand available in 36", 48", and 60" lengths. (66 cm, 122 cm, and 152 cm).
  • Choose from a wide range of fabric colors, textures, and opacities or customize with patterns, graphics, or custom color match.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 Child Safety Standard

Effective June 1, 2024, in compliance with the updated ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 child safety standard, all Draper window shades operated by a bead chain will be furnished with a tensioned hold-down device that is permanently attached and partially disables the product if not installed correctly. This hold-down should be installed with tension on the chain.

All bead chain operated window shades will include:

  • Permanently installed spring-loaded tensioned hold-down device
  • Approved permanent warning label attached
  • Approved mechanical fasteners for the tension device included. Screws provided are not suitable for all mounting surfaces. The installer is responsible for secure mounting using appropriate hardware for the site conditions. Consult with contractors and builders as needed.

If the tension device is not installed with appropriate tension on the bead chain, the shade will be rendered partially inoperable. If installed properly, the tension device will prevent the creation of a hazardous loop and will maintain tension on the bead chain.
