Draper
provides optical grade first surface mirrors.
First
surface mirrors are frequently used in rear projection
systems design to fold the light from the projector,
reducing the required depth of the projection area
behind the rear screen.
Conventional
mirrors are not satisfactory for this purpose, because
the reflective coating is on the backside of this
glass. Under projection, the majority of light
is reflected by the reflective coating, and a minority
is reflected by the first surface of the mirror,
resulting in an objectionable double image.
Mirrors
consist of a 94% reflective optical grade vacuum
coating on a 6 mm thick glass substrate. 3 mm or 5
mm thickness optionally available.
Nine
standard sizes ranging from 25" x 40"
through 74" x 100", or in any custom size
of your choice.
Sold
separately, or with rear screen systems.

with or without factory installed protective frame.
Mirror
Stiffening System
Draper also offers a unique and highly effective
stiffening system for mirrors with structural and
composite reinforcement. Mirror flatness is Larger
and cut down sizes available. increasingly important
due to increased resolution and brightness in today’s
projectors.
Only Draper has developed a stiffening method to
assure the fl attest large size glass mirror.
This system ensures flatness and eliminates pin
cushion effect, double imaging and dead spots, resulting
in a significantly improved image.
