Draper AIA/CES Continuing Education

The AIA/CES program allows architects to keep current and gain new knowledge and skills. It also enables AIA members to fulfill a membership requirement and meet state mandatory continuing education requirements.

Draper is offering the following continuing education modules for architects:

AIA Daylighting 201 - Motorized Window Shades

Daylighting 201 - Motorized Window Shades
A Simple Guide to Motorized Shades & Controls: This module provides participants with a clear understanding of how the benefits of natural light and energy savings can be maximized through the proper specification of motorized shades. The course will explain which type of motorized shade control systems are best for specific environments and most importantly, why it is best to design windows and shading systems to operate independent from human intervention.

Window Shades 101
A Fabric Selection Guide: This education module provides participants with a comprehensive strategy for selecting window shade fabrics, reviewing elements such as texture, health, safety, welfare and energy conservation.

Gymnasium Equipment 101
Specifying the Correct Gymnasium Equipment for your Facility: This education module provides architects with a clear understanding of the various factors that must be considered in selecting for specifying basketball equipment for a specific facility. The course will discuss the criteria for selecting the correct backstop series, style and accessories, as well as the standards that should be considered when selecting suppliers of this type of equipment.

Projection Screens 101
Specifying Projection Screens: The Critical Factors to Consider. This education module is a reliable methodology for selecting the correct screen format, size, model and viewing surface. Different control options for motorized screens will be discussed, as well as the consequences of an incorrect specification.

Our certified trainers can also come to your office and present Draper training modules--we'll even provide lunch for everybody!

Credit earned on completion of this program will be reported to CES Records for AIA members.
